FPCA Veto Request Letter To Be Sent Subsequent to Governor’s HB 1171 Receipt
May 21, 2009
The Florida Property and Casualty Association (“FPCA”) is in the process of drafting a letter to Florida Governor Charlie Crist requesting his veto of House Bill 1171, which is also known as the “Open Rating Bill.”
Optimal timing of the delivery of this letter to the Governor will be subsequent to his official receipt of HB 1171 from presiding legislative officers. Additionally, the FPCA has effected a public records request for all correspondence to the Governor regarding the bill. This information will be distributed to FPCA membership upon receipt.
