FPCA Member Feedback Requested: Florida Office of Insurance Regulation Drafting Personal Injury Protection Data Call

The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (“OIR”) is in process of drafting its statutory Personal Injury Protection (“PIP”) Data Call, a copy of which is attached for review.
- Florida Property and Casualty Association members are asked to review this draft and provide comments to Katie Webb (kwebb@cftlaw.com) at Colodny Fass.
Section 624.316, Florida Statutes provides for an examination of PIP claims of the top 25 commercial and personal auto PIP writers (as determined by the OIR) for the time period of 2006 through 2010.
Once the Data Call is distributed, insurers must submit their information by 5:00 p.m. (ET) on February 22, 2011.
