FPCA Member Comment Requested: Draft Bad Faith Florida Legislation

Various insurance industry groups are currently drafting and securing sponsors for proposed Florida legislation relating to bad faith.
Given recent rulings of the Florida Supreme Court that have been indicative of a hostile climate toward certain legislative measures and tort reform, specifically, certain areas of the law are being analyzed for possible revision in order to protect against a successful bad faith challenge.
Florida Property and Casualty Association members are being asked to review the attached bill draft and provide their comments.
