FPCA Homeowners Division: Memorandum on Appropriateness of Emergency Rule Suspending Sinkhole Claims Prior to Passage of Legislation

Florida Property and Casualty Association Homeowners Division Members:
In response to a Florida Property and Casualty Association Homeowners Division request, Colodny Fass has prepared a memorandum analyzing the appropriateness of petitioning either the Governor or the Florida Insurance Commissioner to promulgate an Emergency Rule suspending the filing or processing of sinkhole claims for 90 days pending the anticipated passage of proposed sinkhole legislation.
