FPCA Homeowners Division: Hearing on FHCF Proposed Rules Tomorrow – Last Call for Comments

FPCA Homeowners Division Members:
This is a reminder that the State Board of Administration (SBA) is holding a public hearing tomorrow, January 25, at 9:00 a.m., on the following proposed rules relating to the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund (FHCF):
- Rule 19-8.029: Insurer Reporting Requirements
- Rule 19-8.030: Insurer Responsibilities
Jennifer Erdelyi, Esq. from Colodny Fass, P.A. will attend the hearing tomorrow to present the FPCA’s comments on the proposed rules. Many Members provided input on these proposed rules as well as the Statement of Estimated Regulatory Costs (SERC) alternative proposal, which was filed with the SBA on Friday, January 7. If you have any additional comments, please provide them as soon as possible to Jennifer Erdelyi (jerdelyi@cftlaw.com) or Katie Webb (kwebb@cftlaw.com).
Attached for your information are the SERC alternative proposal filed on behalf of the FPCA, the revised Proof of Loss Report form in response to the SERC alternative proposal, and proposed legislation from Dr. Nicholson.
