FPCA Automobile Division Planning Meeting on Monday, December 6 at 12 p.m.

The FPCA Automobile Division will be meeting on Monday, December 6, at 12:00 p.m., at the Fort Lauderdale office of Colodny Fass, P.A.  Robin Westcott, Director of Property & Casualty Financial Oversight for the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation, will be present to discuss Personal Injury Protection fraud.  Lunch will be served.

Attached is an agenda for the meeting, as well as minutes from the November 11, 2010, meeting.  Also attached are the following documents:

• The first draft of a “legal fixes” bill to address issues raised by the decisions in Shaw v. State Farm, Custer v. UAIC, and Nationwide v. Pinnacle. 
• The court decisions in Shaw v. State Farm, Custer v. UAIC, and Nationwide v. Pinnacle, for your reference. 
• The workers’ compensation-style draft legislaive proposal to cap attorney fees.
• The “may vs. shall” proposals. 
• The Kingsway Amigo memo regarding grassroots efforts.
