FPCA Automobile Division: Bad Faith Draft Legislation

During the last few months, the FPCA has been working with various insurance groups to develop interest in a bill addressing bad faith issues. In the last week, several insurance groups have expressed interest in forming a coalition to push for bad faith reform during the 2009 Legislative Session.
Attached for your review is a draft bill compiled by prospective coalition members. The draft bill incorporates bad faith reform proposals the FPCA has supported in the past.
The FPCA currently is working to procure bill sponsorship and this information should be available shortly.
