FPCA Auto Division: Personal Injury Protection Contingency Risk Multiplier Repeal Added to Budget

During a joint budget conference on Sunday, May 1, 2011, the Florida House of Representatives and Senate budget chairs (Senator J.D. Alexander and State Representative Denise Grimsley) adopted a provision that would repeal the Personal Injury Protection contingency risk multiplier to calculate attorneys’ fees.
The proposal was adopted as conforming bill to the budget. If accepted by the Presiding Officers, it will go before the full House and Senate for a vote.
