Florida’s Citizens Property Insurance Now on Social Media
Jul 9, 2013
In an effort to respond to changes in the way customers and the public get their information, Florida’s Citizens Property Insurance Corporation (“Citizens”) announced today, July 9, 2013, that it has officially entered into the social media arena to better communicate with policyholders, agents, the media and other stakeholders.
On July 1, Citizens launched its presence on Twitter and Facebook. Initially, it will focus on hurricane season activities and storm preparation. Going forward, the State-backed insurer plans to expand its social media presence to encompass information about companywide programs and initiatives.
