Florida Workers’ Compensation Health Care Provider Reimbursement Manual Rule Hearing Report: November 21
Nov 24, 2008
On Friday, November 21, 2008, the Florida Department of Financial Services, Division of Workers’ Compensation, scheduled a Rule hearing regarding the following proposed Rule:
- 69L-7.020: Florida Workers’ Compensation Health Care Provider Reimbursement Manual (2008 Edition)
The proposed Rule would implement 2008 conversion factors issued by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, provide guidelines detailing the circumstances under which providers may collect co-payments from claimants, provide new language recognizing the National Correct Coding Initiative Edits as an appropriate resource for insurer use in the bill review process, and provide that a health care provider may not petition to resolve a reimbursement dispute where services were rendered pursuant to an authorized workers’ compensation managed care arrangement.
The Rule hearing was not requested, and therefore not held.
