Florida Tops Motorcycle Ride Ranking
What might be obvious to many Florida motorcyclists is now official: The Sunshine State is the country’s best state to ride.
Progressive Insurance ranked Florida the top riding state, beating out other warm-weather states Georgia, Arizona and South Carolina for the honor.
The Ohio-based insurance company used five categories to determine the top state: highest number of good riding days (in which Florida was ranked second), lowest likelihood of getting into a crash (third), highest percentage of smoother-riding roadways (third), lowest average price for a gallon of regular gasoline (not in top five) and lowest population density (didn’t place).
