Florida Supreme Court Declines to Hear Workers’ Compensation Constitutionality Case

The Florida Supreme Court has declined to hear a lawsuit that questioned the constitutionality of the state’s workers-compensation insurance system, THE NEWS SERVICE OF FLORIDA’s Jim Turner reported today, December 23, 2015.

The case involved Julio Cortes, who alleged he was injured in 2010 while operating equipment for Velda Farms LLC.

Meanwhile, the Court has taken up three other high-profile cases involving Florida’s workers’ compensation system.
