Florida Senate Committee on Banking and Insurance Draft Property Bill Issued Today

Draft legislation relating to property insurance issues that was generated from a recent series of workshop-style meetings with Florida Senate Committee on Banking and Insurance (“Committee”) staff and insurance industry members was issued today, February 2, 2010. 

Although not yet filed as a bill, the legislation seeks to balance consumer protections with regulatory and rate reform and was drafted at the request of Senate President Jeff Atwater and Committee Chairman Garrett Richter.  A copy is attached for review.
