Florida Senate Committee on Banking and Insurance Committee To Take Up Comprehensive Property Insurance Bill (SPB 7018)

Today, March 4, 2013, the Florida Senate Committee on Banking and Insurance Committee (“Committee”) released SPB 7018, a comprehensive property insurance bill.

Workshopped during a previous Committee meeting, components of the bill include the creation of a Florida Catastrophe Risk Capital Access Facility and revisions to the Citizens Property Insurance Corporation statutes, among others.
The Committee is scheduled to take up SB 7018 this week on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 8:00 a.m.
