Florida Office of Insurance Regulation Releases Uniform Mitigation Verification Inspection Form Draft in Advance of September 22 Rule Development Workshop

In advance of a September 22, 2010 Rule Development Workshop on the matter, the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation has released a draft copy of Form OIR-B1-1802, which is used to document inspections for hurricane premium discounts.
Also known as the “Uniform Mitigation Verification Inspection Form,” Form OIR-B1-1802 is being updated to reflect 2010 Florida statutory changes and related issues. The most recent draft of the Form includes specific language relating to who may be authorized to perform an inspection. Additional language relates to Form-related fraud and liability.
