Florida Office of Insurance Regulation Annual Reinsurance Data Call Part 1 Filing Due Date Extended to Monday, April 16, 2012

The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (“OIR”) has advised that the filing due date for Part 1 of its Annual Reinsurance Data Call has been extended to Monday, April 16, 2012.
Also, questions 34 and 35 of the Data Call have been amended to request data as of March 31, as opposed to February 29.
Pursuant to Section 624.316, F.S., the OIR conducts a Reinsurance Data Call to determine whether insurers writing property risks in Florida will be able to meet their policy obligations in the event of one or more catastrophic events during the hurricane season.
