Florida Insurance Commissioner Expresses Appreciation of Omnibus Property Insurance Bill Passage

Subsequent to today’s passage of SB 2044, the omnibus property insurance bill, Florida Insurance Commissioner Kevin McCarty issued the following statement expressing his appreciation to the Florida Legislature:
“I am grateful that the Legislature has addressed some of the cost drivers causing instability in our homeowners’ insurance market. Furthermore, the legislation strengthens our solvency tools to ensure that insurers are capable of paying claims.”
