Florida Insurance Commissioner David Altmaier to Moderate Panel on IAIS Risk-Based Global Insurance Capital Standard

Florida Insurance Commissioner David Altmaier will moderate a panel at the upcoming National Association of Insurance Commissioners’ (“NAIC’s”) 11th Annual International Insurance Forum in Washington, D.C., May 15-16, 2017.

The NAIC’s annual forum explores developments and progress in international insurance regulation in the context of the global financial services markets.  The NAIC suggests those interested in international insurance developments and the impact on the U.S. framework may wish to attend.

The International Association of Insurance Supervisors (“IAIS”) is developing a risk-based global insurance capital standard (“ICS”) for internationally active insurance groups.

Panelists will discuss current and future challenges of developing an ICS, key technical issues, and how to achieve a standard that is useful and implementable for IAIS members.

In addition to Florida Insurance Commissioner Altmaier, the Panel comprises:
