Friday, November 7

• Florida Department of Revenue (“DOR”) Proposed Rule Hearing; 9:00 a.m.  Tallahassee, Florida.  
  • Proposed amendments to Rule 12B-8.0016, “DOR Electronic Database,” would provide reference to updates to instructions for the DOR’s Address/Jurisdiction Database used for assigning insurance premiums and policies to local tax jurisdictions.  To view the hearing notice, click here.  
  • Proposed amendments to Rule 12B-8.003, “Tax Statement; Overpayments,” would adopt changes to forms used by the DOR in the administration of insurance premium taxes, fees and surcharges.  To view the hearing notice, click here.

Thursday, November 13

• Florida Division of Insurance Agents and Agency Services (“IAAS”) Proposed Rule Hearing; 9:45 a.m.  Tallahassee, Florida.  Rule Chapter 69B-215, entitled “Agents,” is proposed for repeal because its Rules are duplicative or unnecessary.  To view the Hearing notice, click here.
• Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (“OIR”) Proposed Rule Hearing; 10:00 a.m.  Rule 69B-167.001, “Return of Unearned Premium,” which is administered by the Florida Department of Financial Services, is proposed for repeal since it is duplicative of Rule 69O-167.001, which is administered by the OIR.  To view the Hearing notice, click here.
• Florida Workers’ Compensation Joint Underwriting Association (“FWCJUA”) Audit Committee meeting; 10:00 a.m.  To view the agenda, click here.

• Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund (“FHCF”) Proposed Rule Hearing; 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  Tallahassee, Florida.  Proposed amendments to Rule 19-8.010, “Reimbursement Contract,” would adopt the 2015-2016 FHCF Reimbursement Contract, including Addenda and an Optional Amendment.  In addition, obsolete material would be removed.  To view the Hearing notice, click here.
