Monday, December 13

  • Florida Department of Financial Services (“DFS”) Division of Agents and Agency Services Rule Development Workshop; 10:00 a.m.  Proposed Rule 69B-162.011 would implement provisions of SB 2176 that relate to annuity policy cover pages.  To view the Workshop notice, click here.
  • National Association of Insurance Commissioners (“NAIC”) Retained Asset Accounts Working Group meeting; 11:00 a.m.  A draft Retained Asset Accounts Sample Bulletin will be considered for adoption.

        • Proposed Rule 69O-137.001, “Annual and Quarterly Reporting Requirements,” would adopt the 2010 NAIC Quarterly Statement Instructions and the 2010 NAIC Accounting Practices and Procedures Manual.
      • For publication:
        • Repeal of Rule 69O-170.105, “Costs, Expenses and Fees of the Arbitration,” which is no longer relevant following a 2008 amendment to F.S. 627.062(6) that removed the arbitration provision.
        • Proposed Rules 69O-157.302,.303,.304, relating to long-term care insurance and new business rates, would be amended to include the new business rates effective for 2011.
        • Proposed Rule 69O-189.007, “Insurer Experience Reporting — Excessive Profits, Workers’ Compensation Insurance,” would adopt a revised workers’ compensation excess profits form, as well as revise the definition of “insurance group” to mean insurers operating under common majority ownership, as opposed to common management.
