        • Proposed amendments to Rule 69O-137.001 would adopt the 2012 National Association of Insurance Commissioners (“NAIC”) Annual Statement Instructions Manual.  To view the hearing notice, click here.
        • Proposed amendments to Rule 69O-138.001 would adopt the 2013 NAIC Financial Condition Examiners Handbook.  To view the hearing notice, click here.
        • Proposed Rule 69O-142.022 would develop the “Notice of Estimated Premium Impacts from the Federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act” required by CS/SB 1842, which amended s.627.410, F.S.  The Notice will be required to be sent to all individual and small group non-grandfathered health plans or health maintenance organizations.  To view the hearing notice, click here.
        • Proposed amendments to Rule 69O-149.003, “Rate Filing Procedures,” relating to life and health insurers, would delete the Maximum Annual Medical Trend tables from the text of the Rule, provide the URL of the OIR’s Web site on which the tables will be published and updated as needed, and limit the use of streamlined rate increase filings to Medicare Supplement providers with fewer than 1,000 policyholders nationwide, rather than to 1,000 policyholders in Florida.

  • Florida Division of Insurance Fraud Rule Development Workshop; 10:00 a.m.  Section 626.9895, F.S., authorized the Division of Insurance Fraud to establish a direct-support organization to support the prosecution, investigation and prevention of motor vehicle insurance fraud, to be known as the “Automobile Insurance Fraud Strike Force.”  Section 626.9895(5)(c), F.S., requires the Department of Financial Services (“DFS”) to adopt rules prescribing the procedures by which the Strike Force is governed and any conditions with which the Strike Force must comply to use the Division’s property.  To view the Workshop notice, click here.

  • Florida Department of Revenue (“DOR”) Rule Development Workshop; 10:00 a.m.  Proposed amendments to Rule 12B-8.0016, “Department of Revenue Electronic Database,” would provide reference to the updates to instructions for the DOR’s Address/Jurisdiction Database used for assigning premiums and policies to local tax jurisdictions.  Proposed amendments to Rule Rule 12B-8.003, “Tax Statement; Overpayments,” is to adopt, by reference, changes to forms used by the DOR in the administration of the insurance premium taxes, fees and surcharges.  To view the Workshop notice, click here.
