Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund Meeting Notices

The Florida State Board of Administration (“SBA”) has released two Notices of Proposed Rules relating to the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund (“Cat Fund”):
Notice of Development of Rulemaking
Regarding the Reimbursement Premium Formula for the 2007-2008 contract year, a Notice of Proposed Rule 19-8.028 has been issued.
A hearing regarding this Proposed Rule will be held May 14, 2007, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. in Tallahassee, Florida, at 1801 Hermitage Blvd., Room 116 (the Hermitage Conference Room).
Notice of Meeting
With respect to the Reimbursement Contract and the Reimbursement Premium Formula, the SBA has announced a Notice of Meeting for Proposed Rules 19-8.010 and 19-8.028 which will be held May 15, 2007, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. in Tallahassee, Florida, at 1801 Hermitage Blvd., Room 116 (the Hermitage Conference Room).
Also, if requested in writing by interested parties and not deemed unnecessary by the Agency Head, a Rule Development Workshop regarding the annual Reimbursement Contract will be noticed for proposed amendments to Rule 19-8.010.
Finally, a hearing will be scheduled and announced for Proposed Rule 19-5.001 relating to the Insurance Capital Build-Up Incentive Program, if requested in writing by any person who wishes to provide information regarding a statement of regulatory costs or a proposal for a lower cost regulatory alternative by April 24, 2007.
Our representatives will attend these, and any related hearings or meetings held in the future and provide reports accordingly.
