Florida Governor Rick Scott Appoints 27 to Judicial Nominating Commissions

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Governor Rick Scott announced 27 appointments to nine Judicial Nominating Commissions today, July 15, 2014.
Governor Scott said, “I am proud to appoint these twenty-seven individuals across the state to faithfully serve Florida families. I am confident that they will select judicial nominees who will serve with humility while respecting the rule of law.”

First District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission
Timothy Volpe, 57, of Jacksonville, is a partner with Adams and Reese. He succeeds Daryl Parks and is appointed for a term beginning July 14, 2014, and ending July 1, 2018.
Timothy Cerio, 44, of Tallahassee, is a shareholder with GrayRobinson PA. He is reappointed from a list of nominees submitted by the Florida Bar for a term beginning July 14, 2014, and ending July 1, 2018.
Michael Freed, 46, of Jacksonville, is the managing partner of Brennan, Manna & Diamond PL. He succeeds Barbara C. Johnston and is appointed from a list of nominees submitted by the Florida Bar for a term beginning July 14, 2014, and ending July 1, 2018.
