Florida Governor Rick Scott Appoints 21 to Regional Planning Councils

The following news release was issued by the Office of Governor Rick Scott on June 21, 2011:
Tallahassee, Fla. – Governor Rick Scott today announced nineteen reappointments and two appointments to eight regional planning councils throughout the state.
Apalachee Regional Planning Council, Region Two
Franklin H. Hatcher, 60, of Monticello, is the owner of North Florida Nurseries. He is reappointed for a term beginning June 21, 2011, and ending October 1, 2011.
Dawn D. Radford, 63, of Eastpoint, is a writer for Gulf Coast Community College. She is reappointed for a term beginning June 21, 2011, and ending October 1, 2012.
East Central Regional Planning Council, Region Six
Atlee E. Mercer, 68, of Kissimmee, is a programmer and technical write for Micro Key Solutions Inc. He is reappointed for a term beginning June 21, 2011, and ending October 1, 2012.
North Central Regional Planning Council, Region Three
Thomas D. Collett, 51, of Newberry, is the owner of TDC Entertainment Inc. He is reappointed for a term beginning June 21, 2011, and ending October 1, 2012.
South Florida Regional Planning Council, Region Eleven
Patricia B. Asseff, 64, of Hollywood, is a Commissioner with the City of Hollywood. She is reappointed for a term beginning June 21, 2011, and ending October 1, 2013.
Paul R. Wallace, 67, of Miami, is an attorney and partner with Hinshaw & Culbertson. He is reappointed for a term beginning June 21, 2011, and ending October 1, 2012.
Southwest Florida Regional Planning Council, Region Nine
Felipe Colón, 29, of Sarasota, is a Financial Advisor at Wells Fargo Advisors LLC. He is reappointed for a term beginning June 21, 2011, and ending October 1, 2012.
Michael J. Grant, 61, of Port Charlotte, is the owner of Grant Medical Transportation Inc. and former State Representative. He is reappointed for a term beginning June 21, 2011, and ending October 1, 2012.
Melvin E. Karau, 77, of Fort Denaud, is retired. He is reappointed for a term beginning June 21, 2011, and ending October 1, 2012.
Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council, Region Eight
Angeleah C. Kinsler, 57, of Hillsborough, is a human resources professional. She is reappointed for a term beginning June 21, 2011, and ending October 1, 2012.
Andres E. Nunez, 58, of St. Petersburg, is a senior associate at Tindale, Oliver & Associates Inc. He is reappointed for a term beginning June 21, 2011, and ending October 1, 2012.
Kim H. Vance, 50, of Tampa, is an attorney at Gray Robinson. She is reappointed for a term beginning June 21, 2011, and ending October 1, 2012.
Charles D. Waller, 68, of Dade City, is an attorney for Waller & Scharber. He is reappointed for a term beginning June 21, 2011, and ending October 1, 2012.
Earl H. Young, 62, of Zephyrhills, is the executive vice president for Florida Traditions Bank. He is reappointed for a term beginning June 21, 2011, and ending October 1, 2012.
Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council, Region Ten
William M. Hall, 57, of Jupiter, is the director of Illustrated Properties. He is reappointed for a term beginning June 21, 2011, and ending October 1, 2012.
Peter S. Sachs, 63, of Boca Raton, is a managing partner of Sachs Sax Caplan LLC. He is reappointed for a term beginning June 21, 2011, and ending October 1, 2013.
Robert W. Stork, 59, of Vero Beach, is an electronic engineer for Communications International Inc. He succeeds Richard Oujevolk and is appointed for a term beginning June 21, 2011, and ending October 1, 2013.
Withlacoochee Regional Planning Council, Region Five
Avis M. Craig, 60, of Crystal River, is the director of public affairs for the Citrus County Property Appraiser’s Office. She is reappointed for a term beginning June 21, 2011, and ending October 1, 2012.
Edward “Bill” Murray, 70, of Lecanto, is a member of the Citrus County School Board. He is reappointed for a term beginning June 21, 2011, and ending October 1, 2012.
Walter “Buddy” Selph, 64, of Brooksville, is the owner of Tommie Dawson Realty Inc. He is reappointed for a term beginning June 21, 2011, and ending October 1, 2012.
Whitney S. Smith, 54, of Fanning Springs, is the general manager of Hudson Food Stores. He succeeds Eugene Trimpert and is appointed for a term beginning June 21, 2011, and ending October 1, 2012.
The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
