Florida Governor Crist Reappoints Five to Serve As Judges of Compensation Claims

Florida Governor Charlie Crist announced the following reappointments of Judges of Compensation Claims today, July 8, 2009:

  • Diane B. Beck, 55, of Sarasota, reappointed for a term ending September 30, 2013
  • Joseph Murphy, 61, of Tampa, reappointed for a term ending May 3, 2013
  • Donna S. Remsnyder, 51, of St. Petersburg, reappointed for a term ending April 19, 2013
  • Laura Roesch, 53, of Panama City, reappointed for a term ending April 30, 2013
  • Thomas W. Sculco, 47, of Orlando, reappointed for a term ending March 21, 2013

    The Florida Office of the Judges of Compensation Claims (“OJCC”), which is responsible for adjudicating disputes over workers’ compensation benefits, is part of the Division of Administrative Hearings.

    The OJCC operates 17 district offices in Florida.  Each Judge of Compensation Claims is appointed by the Governor for a four-year term, based upon the recommendation of the Statewide Judicial Nominating Commission.
