Florida Governor Charlie Crist Signs HB 853 Into Law

Florida Governor Charlie Crist signed House Bill 853 relating to Surplus Lines Insurers into law today, June 11, 2009, whereupon it became immediately effective.
HB 853 provides that Chapter 627, F.S. does not apply to surplus lines insurers unless specifically stated.
