The Florida Department of Financial Services, Division of Workers’ Compensation (“DWC”) is offering a free two-day training class on Claims Electronic Data Interchange (“EDI”) reporting on Tuesday, October 6 and Wednesday, October 7, 2009 in Tallahassee.
This training is recommended for representatives of insurers and claim administrators who are responsible for R3 Claims EDI reporting and responding to Claims EDI errors.

Seating is limited and confirmations will be returned via email. Priority will be given to those who have filed training request forms, and to those who have not attended previous EDI training sessions. Please fax the completed EDI Training Registration form to the Division at (850)488-3453. This form can be obtained at http://www.myfloridacfo.com/wc/edi_clms.html.
The Florida Division of Workers’ Compensation is offering a free two day training class on Claims EDI Release 3 and associated EDI Rule 69L-56, F.A.C., on Tuesday, October 6, and Wednesday, October 7, 2009, in Tallahassee.
This training is recommended for representatives of insurers and claim administrators who are responsible for R3 Claims EDI reporting and responding to Claims EDI errors. The training will focus on EDI terminology; required codes; scenarios; what MTC’s/transactions are due and when in accordance with Rule 69L-56; how to use the Claims EDI Data Warehouse and respond to frequent rejections and non-fatal errors; lessons learned; tips on filing successful MTC’s/transactions; and what not to do.
Technical staff is welcome to attend; however, this training will not cover the technical training information available on our website at http://www.myfloridacfo.com/wc/edi_clms.html. It is highly recommended that attendees review the ‘FL R3 EDI History and Overview’ document at http://www.myfloridacfo.com/wc/pdf/edi/FL_R3_EDI_History_and_Overview.ppt prior to attending the training, as this information will not be covered at the training.

Cost: FREE, but prior registration and confirmation is required.
