The Florida Department of Financial Services’ Division of Agent and Agency Services will be issuing a Notice of Rule Development for Rule 69B-211.004, F.A.C. relating to the appointment renewal process.
The Rule establishes procedures for persons seeking the biennial renewal of appointments to transact insurance pursuant to the Florida Insurance Code. The purpose of the proposed Rule amendment is to revise the existing Rule to reflect certain provisions of law that have been amended since the Rule was last amended. This is expected to provide clear and concise information to appointing entities of the appointment renewal process, as well as the fees for noncompliance with the law.
If requested, a Rule Development Workshop will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2012 @ 9:30 a.m. in Room 116 of the J. Edwin Larson Building, 200 E. Gaines Street, Tallahassee, FL 32399.
