Florida Department of Financial Services Claims Guidance on Universal Health Care Receivership, Liquidations

Policyholders, claimants, creditors, and other persons in Florida having claims against the assets of Universal Health Care, Inc. and Universal Health Care Insurance Company, Inc. were advised on April 29, 2013 by the Florida Department of Financial Services’ (“DFS”) Division of Rehabilitation and Liquidation that the DFS has been appointed by court order as the receiver for both companies and ordered to liquidate their assets.
