Florida Commission On Hurricane Loss Projection Methodology Windstorm Mitigation Committee Meets Twice In January To Finalize Mitigation Credit Recommendations

The Florida Commission on Hurricane Loss Projection Methodology (“Commission”) Windstorm Mitigation Committee is scheduled to meet twice in January to finalize its draft report of recommendations for improving the process of assessing, determining and applying windstorm mitigation discounts, credits, rate differentials and other appropriate reductions in insurance deductibles.
Pursuant to House Bill 1495, which was signed into law in 2009, the Commission is required to present the report to Florida’s Governor, Cabinet, Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives by February 1, 2010.
