Florida Cabinet Meeting Adoption of Two Emergency Rules re FHCF Reimbursement Contract & FHCF’s Emergency Assessment for Revenue Bonds 5/16/06
Jan 11, 2007
Today the Florida Cabinet approved the adoption of two emergency rules regarding the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund (FHCF) Reimbursement Contract and the FHCF’s emergency assessment for Revenue Bonds. These rules will implement the legislative changes to the FHCF that were addressed in the property insurance package that passed in the 2006 Session. Emergency Rule 19ER06-01 adopts three contract addendums to the Reimbursement Contract, primarily relating to the ability of a limited apportionment company to buy a certain amount of reinsurance from the FHCF. Emergency Rule 19ER06-02 incorporates clarifying language regarding the emergency assessment for Revenue Bonds.
