Florida Cabinet: Aug. 28 Meeting Recap

On August 28, 2007, this office attended a meeting of the Florida Cabinet in Tallahassee, Florida.  The Cabinet members include Governor Charlie Crist, Chief Financial Office Alex Sink, Attorney General Bill McCollum, and Agriculture Commissioner Charles Bronson.  There was one insurance-related item, which was offered by the Office of Financial Regulation.  The Cabinet Approved for Publication a Notice of Proposed Rule Making for Rule Chapter 69V-40, relating to the licensing and regulation of mortgage brokers and lenders.

The Cabinet also considered non-insurance-related items by the Department of Revenue, Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund and the State Board of Administration.
