Crawford Insurance Strikes Deal with AssuredPartners

Florida-based AssuredPartners Inc. acquired Crawford Insurance in a deal that will keep the long-standing Crawford name intact and allow family members to remain in charge of the agency.
It’s the second regional acquisition by AssuredPartners, which bought Louisville-based Neace Lukens in August 2011.
Lou and Joan Crawford founded Crawford Insurance in their Bellevue, Ky., home more than 60 years ago. Brothers Mike, Steve and Jim Crawford and their sister, Penny Crawford Cook, are all managing principals with the agency and will continue to direct its operations. The deal, which closed Oct. 17, gives the Crawfords an equity stake in AssuredPartners.
