Delaware Form Filing, Rate Changes and Deviation Fees Increase Today, Insurance Department Advises

In Bulletin No. 35 issued today, July 15, 2013, the Delaware Department of Insurance (“DDI”) advised all insurers doing business the state that both the “rate changes or deviations” fee [18 Del.C. §701(21)] and the “form, advertising and/or rule filings for each insurance policy or annuity contract or application” fees have been increased to $100 [18 Del.C. §701(34)].

The fee increases are effective today pursuant to House Bill 99.

General and filing instructions will be updated accordingly on the DDI’s Web site, as well as in Delaware’s System for Electronic Rate and Form Filing (SERFF).
