Dec 10, 2014
Complete materials are now available in advance of the December 16, 2014 Florida Commission on Hurricane Loss Projection Methodology (“FCHLPM”) meeting, which will be immediately followed by a meeting of the FCHLPM’s Flood Standards Development Committee (“Committee”).
During the main portion of the day-long session, which is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., FCHLPM members will focus on identifying any deficiencies in hurricane models submitted under the 2013 Standards and Acceptability Process, as well as any issues to be addressed by each modeler, and whether the modelers will be required to submit certain documentation prior to the FCHLPM’s Professional Team’s on-site review.
Once the FCHLPM’s regular business concludes, its Flood Standards Development Committee will convene to discuss modelers’ suggested edits to the General Flood Standards working draft. If time permits, the proposed Meteorological/Hydrological Flood Standards will also be discussed.
