Commercial Lines Rate Filing Requirements Bill Passed, Goes to Governor

After being amended and passed in the Senate today by a vote of 37 to 1, SB 2176 was passed unanimously by the House and is ready for presentation to the Governor. 

The bill, which exempts certain commercial lines from rate filing requirements, was amended this week to addresses annuity fraud, as well as workers’ compensation claims for law enforcement officers, Medicare supplement insurers, motor vehicle service agreements and specialty insurers.
