Colodny Fass Participates in Visions of Images ‘PreCision’ 2009 Graduation

Visions of Images, Inc. 2009 “PreCision” Female Youth Development Program Graduates 18 Participants
On Sunday, August 2nd Visions of Images, Inc. presented the 2009 PreCision class’ Career Academy Graduation at the Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in Hallandale Beach where the Rev. Joe C. Johnson is the Senior Pastor. Colodny Fass was recognized for its participation in donating professional-style leather portfolio notebooks to each graduate, in an effort to equip the young ladies with needed tools for their future careers.
“VISIONS of Images” grew from West Park’s City Commissioner Felicia Brunson’s vision of community programs providing mentoring, promoting social and personal responsibility and leadership skills to youth. PreCision a Female youth development program, stands for Providing Resources for today’s young ladies that Empower and Cultivate their Individual Self-love while Imparting various Opportunities that are Needed for them to become productive citizens. PreCision exists to empower teenage girls aged 12-18 by promoting self-esteem and the development of leadership skills in an environment safe for them to embrace their uniqueness and develop a sense of individuality that enables them to realize their dreams.
Brunson, along with other community Mentors and Facilitators worked with the group of 18 young ladies for 12 weeks during their summer vacation on topics such as career development, relationships, self-esteem and awareness, communication, financial planning, feminine health issues, female bonding, responsibility, leadership and many others. Girls also visited Devry University, Channel 10, Le Cordon Bleu, Broward County Courts/ Jail and were treated to a day of pampering at a Spa.
This culminating event included Career Presentations from participants, a video/photo presentation, a full graduation ceremony with Sylvestor “Chico” Wesley from HOT 105 as the Commencement speaker. Miss Brittany Ricks achieved the Class Valedictorian award. Miss Teriya Ogden was crowned “Miss PreCision 2009” as well as presented with the Class Salutatorian award. Honor Roll stoles were given to Shankwa Campbell and Jeveshia Taylor. All participants received a graduation diploma, congratulatory letters from County Commissioner Diana Wasserman-Rubin, a portfolio, personalized business cards, an autographed copy of “Power and Wisdom- The New Path for Women” by Dr. Priscilla V. Marotta and a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Lastly, a proclamation was read on behalf of Broward County School Board.
Special guests included family and friends of all participants, the Honorable Judge Ilona Holmes, Rev. Dr. Rosalind Osgood, Broward County School Board member Robin Bartleman, Sam Jordan of the Boys of Girls Club, Cathie Starkey from American Business Women Association and Jennifer Pierce of Colodny Fass. This years event sponsors included Publix Supermarket and Attorney Yolanda Cash-Jackson. Event coordinators were W&W Events by Design.
