Colodny Fass Shareholders Mike Colodny, Joel S. Fass and Maria Elena Abate have all been named to the list of 2013 Florida Super Lawyers ®, an honor reserved for only five percent of all Florida lawyers.
Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters subsidiary, is an attorney rating service that spans more than 70 practice areas using a rigorous, multi-phased process. The annual selections are made based upon a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews.

Since co-founding the Firm with Mr. Colodny in 1974, Joel S. Fass has practiced in the areas of personal injury, commercial litigation and civil rights. His clients include individuals, corporations and institutions. He is known as a skilled litigator, negotiator and client advocate.
As Managing Partner of the Firm’s Litigation Division, Maria Elena Abate has built her reputation and expertise in the areas of complex commercial litigation, insurance defense, bad faith and class action defense, as well as employment law and civil rights cases.
