Colodny Fass Named “Broward County 2011 Law Firm of the Year”

Colodny Fass was named as the “Broward County 2011 Law Firm of the Year” at the May 2011 Broward County Bar Association Law Day event.
The recognition was made by the Legal Aid Service of Broward County , Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida and Broward Lawyers Care for the Firm’s leadership in advocating for Broward County’s less fortunate and vulnerable populations.
Colodny Fass Managing Partner Joel Fass accepted the award on behalf of the Firm, whose members regularly participate in various community and service activities that benefit organizations dedicated to protecting children and the elderly.
Former Florida Attorney General Bob Butterworth, who served as keynote speaker at the Law Day event, joined Colodny Fass, the Broward County Bar Association, Legal Aid Service of Broward County and the 17th Judicial Pro Bono Committee in launching the “Tracey McPharlin Initiative.”
The initiative, named in honor of Tracey McPharlin, a partner at the Firm who passed away last year, serves to recruit, train and support attorneys to continue Tracey’s work by representing at-risk children at all legal proceedings affecting their safety, permanency, health and well-being.
