Citizens to Offer Commercial Nonresidential Multi-Peril Policies

Citizens Property Insurance Corporation (“Citizens”) today, November 3, 2008, announced that it will begin offering a commercial nonresidential multi-peril policy, which will be available statewide on November 17, 2008.

Citizens Property Insurance Corporation Offers New Commercial Nonresidential Multi-Peril Policy
TALLAHASSEE, FLA. – Citizens Property Insurance Corporation is pleased to announce that it will begin offering a Commercial Nonresidential Multi-peril (CNR-M) policy on November 17, 2008. This new policy will be available to eligible nonresidential risks located statewide.
House Bill (HB) 1A from 2007 required that Citizens develop a plan to transition the existing wind-only policies of the Property Casualty Joint Underwriting Association (PCJUA) to Citizens and required that Citizens offer commercial nonresidential coverage that was previously provided by the PCJUA. In addition, Citizens was required to begin offering commercial nonresidential insurance for basic property perils coverage.
