Citizens Property Insurance Non-Bonus Assumption To Continue As Planned November 6, 2012

Citizens Property Insurance Corporation (“Citizens”) issued the following advisory yesterday, September 12, 2012:
This message is to advise interested parties that the Citizens Non-Bonus assumption scheduled for November 6, 2012, will continue as planned and advertised on the Citizens website at:
Please note, Citizens does allow approved assuming carriers to remove policies from Citizens in consecutive months.
Citizens will hold meetings of the Depopulation Committee and meetings of the Board of Governors (Board) in October to continue the review of any potential new depopulation programs. There will be an opportunity for public testimony at the meetings.
In the event that the Citizens Board approves additional depopulation programs at the October Board meeting, it would be Citizens’ intent to make such programs available for the assumption scheduled for December 4, 2012.
