Florida Governor Rick Scott has canceled a trip to Washington, where he was to meet with Congressional Leaders about funding for the Zika Virus.

The Alabama Department of Insurance announced Aug. 31 that it has been re-accredited by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners for a 5-Year Term.  The ALDOI received its first NAIC accreditation in 1995, Insurance Journal reports.

  

UK Risks Losing Lloyd’s & London Market Insurers on Brexit, Lloyd’s Chairman Says

Lloyd’s of London and other Insurers will be forced to move part of their businesses to the European Union if they fail to access the Single Market following Britain’s decision in June to leave the Bloc, Chairman John Nelson said on Monday.  Bloomberg reports via Insurance Journal.

 

SpaceX Keeps Insurance Terms Secret

 

SpaceX said in an email to Reuters that it does not disclose Contract or Insurance Terms.  The Company is not public, and it has not said what insurance it had for the Rocket or to cover launch pad damages beyond what was required by the Federal Aviation Administration, which oversees Commercial U.S. Launches, for liability and damage to government property, Insurance Journal reports.
