    Daily Florida Insurance-Related Bills Filed for 2012

     

    HB 4181 Relating to Workers’ Compensation by State Representative Matt Caldwell

    HB 4181 would delete the definition of the term “certified health care provider,” as well as provisions of law providing for the removal of physicians from lists of those authorized to render medical care under certain conditions.  The bill includes conforming provisions to changes it would make.  Effective Date:  July 1, 2012

     

    SB 1862 Relating to Public Records/Donor Identifying Information/Division of Insurance Fraud by Senator Joe Negron

    SB 1862 would amend provisions of law as created by SB 1860 and exempt from public record requirements all identifying information of a donor or prospective donor to the motor vehicle insurance fraud direct-support organization of the Florida Division of Insurance Fraud.  Effective Date: on the same date that Senate Bill 1860 or similar legislation takes effect, if such legislation is adopted in the same legislative session, or an extension thereof, and becomes law
