    Agency for Health Care Administration seeks $2.7 million to fight court ruling that says Florida deprives needy kids

    Governor Rick Scott’s health care agency is asking for up to $2.7 million in additional funds to hire private lawyers to fight a judge’s ruling that the state has systematically deprived children on Medicaid of needed health and dental care.  The Miami Herald’s Mary Ellen Klas reports via the “Naked Politics” blog.

    Governor Scott, Senate President Gardiner hold small-talk luncheon

    Gov. Rick Scott invited Senate President Andy Gardiner, R-Orlando, to lunch at the governor’s mansion Wednesday.  The leaders, accompanied by their chiefs of staff, Lt. Gov. Carlos Lopez-Cantera and Scott aide Kim McDougal, spent an hour engaged in small talk. Purely social, nothing too serious.  Tampa Bay Times Steve Bousquet reports.

     

    Florida Senate panel mulls where environmental windfall goes
