Florida state Senator Jeff Brandes wants FEMA to release data from flood insurance policies under the National Flood Insurance Program to determine whether or not the premiums assessed for policies are excessive or arbitrarily assigned, SaintPetersBlog.com’s Janelle Irwin reports.

Approved Citizens Property Insurance takeout offers are not translating into as many actual transfers as they once did.  In fact, about 45,000 offers were approved for June but no customers actually switched, the Palm Beach Post’s Charles Elmore reports.

 

Questionable Medicaid payments prompt audits of 31 Florida hospitals

U.K. Regulator Toughens Rules to Hold Insurers’ Executives Responsible for Failures

The U.K.’s Financial Conduct Authority issued final rules on Thursday amending its accountability framework for firms covered by the European Union insurance law known as Solvency II.
