Map tool shows Florida road vulnerability to rising seas
A few Florida counties are testing a computer mapping tool that details the vulnerability of their roads to rising sea levels, and perhaps the most surprising thing about it is where it came from, the Associated Press’ Jennifer Kay reports via the Pensacola News-Journal.
Florida Tourist Spots Toughen Safety Rules for Rental Scooters
Panama City Beach recently enacted new regulations requiring rental companies to carry insurance, provide renters with neon safety vests and pamphlets with safety information. Panama City Beach has seen an 80 percent in rental-scooter related accidents so far this year over 2014, Associated Press’ Melissa Nelson-Gabriel reports via Insurance Journal.

John Morgan vows to try again if Florida’s medical marijuana amendment fails
Florida medical marijuana honcho John Morgan hopes for a victory on Amendment 2 when polls close on Tuesday. But a loss may not end the campaign, Morgan told the Tampa Bay Times on Friday. As long as the vote is close to the required 60 percent approval threshold, Morgan said, he will try again in 2016, “The Buzz” blog reports.
