11:00 a.m.–Florida Division of Insurance Fraud Rule Development Workshop.  Proposed amendments to Rule 69D-2.005, “Compliance and Enforcement,” would clarify the Rule, which provides that the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation “shall” conduct audits to determine insurance company compliance with anti-fraud laws and take appropriate action against insurers for failure to comply.  The amendment would change “shall” to “may” to comply with s.624.307, F.S., and would clarify that the Florida Department of Financial Services has the authority to take action for failure to comply.  To view the workshop notice, click here.

Feud between Florida Senate, Governor Scott boils over
