Coastal population growth = hurricane exposure for insurance industry
While North America’s hurricane zone enjoyed a near-respite from tropical storms and hurricanes for the past decade, its insurance “exposure” grew like an advancing storm surge, especially in Florida and New York, a top insurance analyst told the National Hurricane Conference this week.
