Florida Legislature Finally Passes Medical Marijuana Bill

Both Chambers reached Agreement on Wednesday that there would be a Cap of 25 Dispensaries per Medical Marijuana Treatment Center and that there wouldn’t be a sales tax.  The Bill still bans smoking despite Amendment supporters saying it is written into the language.  The Associated Press reports via WTLV.

Governor Scott Signs “Stand Your Ground” Change

The Self-Defense Bill stemmed from a Florida Supreme Court Ruling in 2015 that said Defendants have the Burden of Proof to show they should be shielded from Prosecution under the “Stand Your Ground” Law.  THE NEWS SERVICE OF FLORIDA reports via the Lee Herald.
