Florida Department of Financial Services Rule Hearing

The Florida Department of Financial Services, Division of Consumer Services has issued a Notice of Rulemaking Development regarding the following Rule:

The proposed Rule would implement the Section of Florida law that created the My Safe Florida Home Program by setting forth the procedure for applying for a free wind inspection and criteria for eligible homeowners, as well as detailing the information required to be in the inspection report provided to the homeowner.

If requested in writing and not deemed unnecessary by the agency head, a Rule Development Workshop will be held at the time, date, and place below:

OIR Rule Hearing

The Florida Department of Financial Services, Office of Insurance Regulation (“OIR”) has issued a Notice of Proposed Rule Development for the following Rule:

  • 69O-189.003:  Workers’ Compensation Application and Audit Procedures

The proposed Rule would allow electronic signatures in an application for workers’ compensation coverage, but not require them.  The proposed Rule explicitly specifies those audit procedures that, under the old Rule, were incorporated by reference to National Council on Compensation Insurance publications.  Additional audit procedures also are added.

If requested in writing and not deemed unnecessary by the agency head, a Rule Development Workshop will be held at the time, date, and place below:

The purpose of the proposed Rules is to set appropriate rates for junior loan title insurance.
